I Romped with Shane for six years behide wife's back

Eastenders favourite Shane Richie cheated on his wife with a fan he first met at the stage door when she was 13. And Had A Six Year Affair! - We Reveal The True Story....

He started seducing besotted Alison Hall when she was 20 after making her chief of his online fan club - and first had sex with her in her family home while her mum was downstairs.

Shane, 47, who stars as lovable rogue Alfie Moon in the BBC1 soap - had a six-year affair with Alison, now 29.

They first had sex when she was 22 and soon they were sleeping together up to twice a week. He also texted her with demands for explicit photos behind the back of loyal wife Christie, 32, mother to his three youngest children.

When Shane callously dumped Alison, she confronted Christie with damning evidence of the affair in an explosive heart-to-heart meeting last year.

But the smooth-talking actor convinced his wife to give him another chance. He then brazenly went on to tell the world of his devotion to Christie, boasting: "I'm playing happy families on screen and doing it for real at home"... whitewashing his past in a show of breathtaking hypocrisy.

Tearful Alison told the Sunday Mirror: "He seduced me in the spare bedroom when I was working on his website.

"Like an idiot I went along with him for years. I devoted 17 years of my life to Shane. He knew I would do anything for him and he used me for sex.

"I was completely besotted and he took advantage of that. It broke my heart. He was my life and when he dropped me I felt like I had nothing to live for."

Alison's infatuation started in 1994 when, as a pig-tailed 12-year-old, she went on a school trip to see the musical Grease at London's Dominion Theatre - where Shane was starring as Danny Zuko. With a group of friends she soon became a regular at his performances, often waiting outside the stage door afterwards.

She said: "I used to save my dinner money and live on sweets until I saved enough money to buy a ticket for Grease or Boogie Nights and sometimes our parents would let us travel around the country to watch his shows on tour."

Aged 13 she first got to meet her idol, who was then married to Coleen Nolan and living near Alison in Hillingdon, West London.

Alison said: "We'd wait at the stage door and get Shane to sign pictures. At home my room was full of pictures and newspaper cuttings. It was like a shrine. Coleen got to know us and was really nice, and we sometimes played with his children Jake and Shane Jr."

Alison set up a fan website about Shane, and was overjoyed when she realised he knew about it and started to acknowledge her after shows.

She said: "I was about 15 or 16 when Shane started to remember who I was.

He came over to where I was sitting at the end of a performance of Boogie Nights and said 'great website Alison'.

"I was ecstatic. I was a tubby and unattractive teenager and not many boys fancied me, but here was this gorgeous guy who I had put on a pedestal acknowledging me. It made me feel brilliant."

At 19 Alison got engaged to her first boyfriend - but her devotion to Shane continued and she regularly took her fiance to a pub quiz he hosted. The star would often chat to Alison about her website.

In 2002 Shane said he'd landed a role in EastEnders and asked her to look after his fan mail. She said: "Obviously I thought this was fantastic because it meant we'd be seeing more of each other and we'd be in contact by phone all the time.

"We'd exchange texts and sometimes he could be a bit flirtatious, but I thought that was just Shane being cheeky ...that's what he was like."

Alison was 20 when Shane first visited her at home, going upstairs with her while her parents were downstairs.

She said: "The first time he came round to my house with two bin bags full of fan mail, I was so nervous. I remember trying to act cool and not say anything fan-like.

"I showed him my room and while we were in there, he poked me in the breast with a pen. We both laughed. I just thought he was being playful."

Shane had split with Coleen in 1999 after he cheated with Claire Tyler, a dancer in Grease. In his autobiography Rags to Richie, he admitted lying to both women in an attempt to cover his tracks. The book lays bare every detail of his personal life, even one-night stands...

Including a drink-fuelled threesome with two backpackers while he was juggling relationships with Colleen and Louise in 1998.

In 2001 he had started dating actress Christie Goddard - who coincidentally had first encountered him at the age of 12, when she played a celery stick in a Royal Variety show where Shane had starred. Shane boasted of Christie: "For the first time since Coleen I'd found a relationship that was based on honesty. It was pure. There were no secrets or lies."

He also claimed in a 2003 interview "I like the company of all women, black, white, skinny, fat, young and old. But I don't live a lifestyle that could get me into trouble. These days I'm home from work early, drink a little and in bed by 10.30pm with my girlfriend Christie."

Yet he continued to flirt with Alison as the pair worked on the website together in her family's spare room.

Naïve Alison was shocked but excited when Shane made his first move in 2003, leaving her in no doubt he wanted sex. He started to visit Alison's home for "website sessions" more often. They became more intimate, and they started having sex in mid-2004.

Alison said: "The first time we had sex we were in the spare room and my mum was downstairs. I remember my head was banging against the door and I was worried she would hear. I had spent years dreaming about being with Shane and now it was actually happening. It wasn't quite how I had imagined it but it was still incredibly exciting.

"He started coming over two or three times a week instead of once a fortnight and we would be all over each other as soon as he arrived. I felt guilty because we both had partners but I adored him so there was no way I could say no."

Shane started sending Alison explicit texts and requests for her to send naked pictures of herself while he was bored on the EastEnders set.

She said: "During the day he was constantly asking for pictures. I was working in the DIY store Wickes and I would nip into the toilets to take a picture of my body and send it.

"Sometimes he'd send me a dirty joke to start a conversation and then ask for a picture, or if I tried to start a normal conversation he would ignore it and start talking about sex.

"Sometimes he'd just say he was bored, and I knew that meant I should send him a picture of myself."

A few months after the affair began Alison broke up with her fiancé. When she got her first car, she started driving to meet Shane for sex sessions at Light Oaks, an empty house he owned a short distance from the mansion he shared with Christie in Denham, Bucks.

He would also text Alison and ask her to meet for sex in hotels while he was touring with shows like Scrooge: The Musical - using her official fan club role as a cover.

She said: "He would text me and I could be at Light Oaks in 20 minutes.

It was just a shell. There was no furniture, we just did it on the floor. There was no romance whatsoever, but I didn't mind.

"I'd always had self-confidence issues and knowing he wanted me made me feel good about myself.

"He was insatiable. Once I was trying to play it cool with him and ignore him. Eventually he sent me a text saying his dog Harley had died and I felt sorry for him so I replied. As soon as I did he asked if he could come over. After we had sex he said, 'Harley would've liked that'."

But Alison found it increasingly difficult to continue the affair when Shane announced his engagement to Christie, 33, in April 2005, and she realised he was just using her.

She said: "The way I found out about the engagement was horrible. We'd been having phone sex while he was on the EastEnders set and he told me 'look in the paper tomorrow'.

"I asked what for and he just laughed and said 'just read the paper'. I was devastated when I saw the news. It was like he was getting a kick out of knowing it would upset me."

Devoted Alison would have to hide her love when she met Christie. She said: "If we were at a show and Christie was around, I had to go back into 'fan mode', even if I'd been with Shane that morning.

"He would gush about her in magazine articles or his autobiography and I'd have to put it on the website like I thought it was fantastic, but I'd be sobbing.

"Sometimes I felt like a prostitute. He'd come round to my house for sex and afterwards he'd give me £100 and say 'that's for the website'.

"I was in love with him but if I tried to talk about how I felt he'd dismiss it, saying 'methinks someone's letting feelings get in the way' or 'don't be so deep'.

The sex sessions and graphic texts continued throughout Shane's twoyear engagement. He even texted Alison about sex while discussing baby names after the couple's first child was born in April 2006.

When Shane married Christie in front of EastEnders co-stars including Barbara Windsor and Steve McFadden in July 2007, Alison stayed at home sobbing.

She said: "Shane told me I would be invited to the reception but of course it didn't happen. Although it would have killed me to see Christie in a wedding dress, being invited would have at least been an acknowledgment that I meant something after all my love and loyalty."

In 2008 Shane and his family moved to Surrey so they could be nearer Christie's parent's ahead of the birth of their second child. But even after the move the star would drive to meet Alison at Light Oaks.

His demands for naked photos continued, including from the set where he was starring in a remake of Minder. He even sent a series of explicit messages the day before Christie gave birth to the couple's daughter Lolita in July 2008.

Alison said they last met for sex at Light Oaks in December 2009 and contact then began to dwindle, with Shane ignoring her increasingly angry and frustrated messages.

On July 3 last year, Alison got drunk and decided to send Christie an email hinting at her affair with Shane. The exchange prompted an emotional meeting at Christie's mother's house, where Alison laid out damning evidence of the affair as tears rolled down devastated Christie's cheeks.

But Alison was astonished to learn days later that Christie had agreed to give Shane another chance - and her confession had driven the soap star even further away.

In the months that followed, while Shane's career was on the up as he rejoined EastEnders after a five-year absence, Alison spiralled into depression. She spent three months in counselling to deal with the emotional devastation, and decided she needed to meet him one more time to get closure. But she claims her attempts to set up a meeting with Shane were rebuffed and ignored.

In April she read in a glossy magazine that Shane and Christie's third child was due in a matter of weeks - meaning the baby had been conceived within weeks of their affair being exposed.

The news prompted Alison to send a searingly frank six-page letter to Shane's personal email account - revealing her hurt and everything she had hoped to say to his face.

Shane did not respond. Alison decided to speak out about the affair after realising he was unlikely to ever agree to meet her.

She said: "I deserve to be heard and to have my feelings acknowledged. Shane needs to realise how devastating it is to have wasted so much of my life on him. He must have seen I was vulnerable and had no self-confidence but adored him, and he took advantage of that.

"Now I'm just hoping I can rebuild my life and find someone who will treat me how I deserve to be treated and love me for
who I am."
